Ah,Stein...you´re forgetting the "famous" statistician Henry Joseph Langlie (your great uncle) who, in the 1960´s created a statistical method of evaluation that is still (to my knowledge) being used as military specification criteria for several branches of the US armed forces. That method is still known today as the "Langlie Method".

My maiden name is Langlie. WOW! My two brothers live in Kensington, MD. My parents, Gordon and Helen (Solberg) Langlie live near Roanoke, VA. In five weeks they are moving to Kensington to be nearer my brothers. Both my parents are 100% Norwegian. My father is from New Richland, MN (near Albert Lea), and my mother is from Cleveland, OH.
